It can hardly have escaped your notice that the way companies handle data is changing. This includes how Home Office handle your data, and how we do.
We have experienced some delays in getting finalised. Formal notices and further information will be circulated in due course but this is what you need to know right now:
- You can view, change and update your data by contacting ISU HQ on [email protected]. It is particularly important to check your contact details and your next of kin nomination are up to date.
- Because you have provided your data to us directly, and because we only use that in the context of your membership and not for any other reason, you don’t need to formally opt in to receiving data. You can however opt out, or change how you communicate with you at any time. To do this contact ISU HQ.
- If you have any queries on how GDPR effects your relationship with the ISU please contact me as the ISU Privacy Officer. If you have queries about how your employer deals with your data approach your branch rep in the first instance.
- The ISU will never sell your data to a third party, send it outside the EU or use it for direct marketing or automated processing.
